Ever since the first breath of air filled man's lungs by our Creator, matters of the heart became a "heart" matter. God so lovingly reached down, made man in His own image and gave us a heart that in turn would reach back, with the same love and devotion.
We can depend upon the Lord to care for and direct the hearts of His children. He is faithful and He cares for us. He has a plan for each life He created. We need to wait for His guidance and let Him direct our hearts.
He will establish our ways and hearts and put them in perfect order, only if we permit Him to do so. He is our Heavenly Father and wants the very best for His children. Just as we as parents want to do for our children. However, there are times that we just aren't ready for what we want or think we need, thus our parents direct us in other directions. We do not wait so patiently, do we? It may be years before we are ready, but in the meantime, God shares His love and blessings with us continually. God's love is much greater than human love. He is faithful and loving, caring about the condition of our hearts and desires to direct us properly. He'll continue to always have our best interest of our hearts in His thoughts.
Have you ever thought of God as being the Director of your heart. Sounds like a great idea. I certainly do have trouble with it myself. There are times that I really like to do things my own way, and it gets me in so much trouble and leaves me very much unhappy. Lord, there are times and you know them too, that I want to do things myself, and make things happen because I want something so bad. Please help me to wait for your direction, because you know the masterpiece that you desire to make of my heart. I suppose it's a lot like being in the choir and watching the director, or listening to the music, and then we don't quite understand why we are singing off key, or just not in sink with the music. So, God teach me to watch You, my Director of my heart.
2 Thessalonians 3:3 & 5 "...the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ."
